FAQs

How can I access my resources?

Once you have made a purchase on the website (or signed up to the Free Resources) you will be able to access them by clicking ‘my library’ at the top of the website. You will need the password you created when making your purchase (or signing up to free resources) to be able to access the resources.

I’m having trouble logging into my account - What should I do?

Firstly - make sure you are using the correct email address to access the account. We often find that finance departments who set the account up on behalf of the MFL team will use their email address to do so. It could also be the email address of your HoD or another MFL team member. Once using the correct email address, try the ‘forgot my password’ option when logging in. This will let you reset the password on the account and may help you be able to log in. If you are still having issues please contact [email protected] and we will be able to help you.

Can I share the resources with my team?

Yes! We are more than happy for you to share resources or CPD with your MFL team within your school. You do not need to set up multiple logins to do this, you just need to share the login details of the person who initially set up the account. We suggest you use a generic password which you’re happy to share rather than something personal. We kindly ask, however, that you do not share these login details or the resources with anyone outside your school or with other schools in your trust.

Can someone from my school’s finance team set up our account?

We always suggest having someone from the MFL department as the account holder rather than someone in your finance team. This way any updates about your resources or your account always go to the most relevant person. It is often the case, however, that members of the finance team have to be the initial person to make the payment and set up the account. This is no problem at all, but we recommend that you contact us on [email protected] after making your purchase to change the contact to be someone in the MFL team.

How can I change the email address or contact details on my account?

If you wish to change the name or contact details of the account holder please email us on [email protected] and we will be in touch to do this for you.

Do you have full lesson plans and resources available?

Yes, we do have some full lessons available in our language subscriptions and Buy Everything package. However, as we do not provide a full scheme of work, there are not full lessons available for every topic. To see what is available currently, check out these resources inventory spreadsheets:

I’m thinking of buying a language subscription or Buy Everything. Can you send me a sample of what you offer?

The resources that are available in the ‘Free Resources’ section of the website are a good reflection of the kinds of resources available in the subscriptions and Buy Everything. We recommend looking at these to see if the subscriptions or Buy Everything is right for you. The main differences being that all paid for resources are fully editable and there are much more of them available in the subscriptions than there are in Free Resources. Are your resources editable?

Yes, all resources in the languages subscriptions and Buy Everything are fully editable. The design is deliberately simple and minimalist, so you can adapt them easily to your teaching needs.

NB We kindly ask that you do not remove the Kate Languages logo from any resources.

Do you follow a specific scheme of work/textbook/methodology?

No. We offer a variety of resources for both the AQA and Edexcel exam boards for French, German and Spanish. Our resources are created using the exam board specifications directly as opposed to any specific publisher. They are easily adapted to suit different teaching methodologies and supplement textbooks.

How will I know when new resources are published?

We send out regular email announcements when new resources are published so please make sure the contact details on the account are up to date and belong to someone on the MFL team rather than someone from your finance department. Often new resources are mentioned on our social media accounts too so it's always a good idea to keep up to date with us there:

I can’t attend one of your live webinars - are you able to send out recordings?

Yes we can, but you must have registered for the webinar/CPD session before the live event. The recordings of webinars are sent out to everyone who registered for the event within 24 hours of the live recording. If you wish to have access to a past webinar or CPD session, they can be purchased in bundles in the ‘store’ tab of the website.

Recordings of all webinars are uploaded to the Buy Everything area and to the relevant year's CPD bundle.

Do you offer bespoke CPD?

Yes we do! We can do individual or group CPD, either online or in person. If you wish to enquire further please email [email protected]

Do you offer tutoring for MFL teachers?

We no longer offer tutoring for teachers but we may be able to put you in contact with a tutor who can help you if you email us on [email protected]
